What we offer
Building Networks
Clients, partners, co-founders, board seats and investors are found through informal networks, and women are structurally less present in them.
Sisterpreneurs Talk brings the community together around the stories of proven founders. The founders-only Sisterpreneurs Solve dinners are small, curated rooms where women work through real business challenges together.
Between events, we match members directly with the clients, partners, investors, mentors and service providers they need. We offer free access to exclusive events or discount on tickets to events in the start-up ecosystem.
Visibility & Role Models
Investors, clients and boards choose from what they see. When women entrepreneurs stay invisible, they are left out of those decisions. Women considering entrepreneurship also need to see others like them doing it, here and now.
So we make women founders visible. Sisterpreneurs Talk shares the stories of established entrepreneurs, and our Start podcast follows women who are building right now. Alongside them come Sisterpreneur of the Month portraits, features in Le Monde Économique. Our public exhibition Visibles brings these portraits to a wider audience. For us, visibility is not a marketing extra. It changes who gets considered when opportunities are handed out.
Access to Capital
Women-led startups receive around 7% of Swiss venture capital. The gap opens long before the pitch: fewer women are introduced to investors, fewer get into the room, and fewer know the unwritten rules of a Swiss funding round.
We make available what others get through connections. We track founders who are raising and the investors who are active, and we prepare members for the pitch and for investor scrutiny. Through our ecosystem partners, we open doors to pitch sessions and investor events. The aim is a real pipeline on both sides of the table, not one-off showcases.
Safety Nets
Starting a business costs more, personally, when care responsibilities are unevenly shared. Swiss statistics show that mothers of young children carry more than 60 hours of domestic and family work a week. Self-employed women also lose the protections that salaried workers rely on. Too many women stop for reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of their business.
We work to lower that personal cost of risk. Our community offers structured peer support: referrals, advice, shared solutions, service exchanges, and help with the practical realities of building a business around a family. We are also developing partnerships that bring coworking, on-site childcare and a bridge from unemployment to self-employment within reach. Without this, only the women who can already afford the risk would get through.
Skills & Knowledge: The Sisterpreneurs Academy
Setting up a company, social insurance, financial planning, pitching, fundraising, negotiation, AI: each of these skills is learnable. But learning them takes time, and that cost falls hardest on founders who have the least of it.
We share that cost across the whole community instead of leaving each woman to carry it alone. Building on our first workshops, the Sisterpreneurs Academy will offer a practical bilingual curriculum, Start and Scale toolkits, and short explainer videos, all available online so members can learn outside office hours. The Sisterhood mentoring programme pairs women who are building their businesses with experienced founders from our community.
